I've never in over 4 decades seen a city council member speak on projects or service requested by the people after people expressed their concerns at meeting to show people they took a interest and looked into it..

The biggest take away here isn’t even the policy's . It’s that the people being elected to represent the public often end up voting against the views of the very people who put them in office. If representatives consistently ignore their constituents, who exactly are they "representing?"
