You can get glass or plexiglass cut at Home Depot or Lowe’s. They sell it. Just call in advance to verify your store has it in stock. I’d also hit up the reclamation yard to just see if you can find a reclaimed piece of stained glass.

You can have Lowe’s cut you a piece of glass to the exact size you need and it doesn’t cost much.

An antiqued mirror would have been a nice option though I like that you can still have the light filtering through to your kitchen with your option.
