I missed this in nursing school - if it was even taught. I appreciate the explanation. I know my child used to need new glasses 2-3 times a a year. Insurance never agreed. It got expensive for a while.

I used to be so proud of my 20/18 vision. Then I turned 40 and lost my close-up vision, and then I got optic neuritis and am more or less blind in one eye. I see miss having good vision, don’t take it for granted.
