i showed him a movie once we sat through the whole thing and at the end of it he turned and said “what was the point of that” and started arguing with me about how there was no “point” to the movie and it didn’t interest him because the movie didn’t have a “moral”? then later on i see him repost an edit of that movie.

The “Uggggggggggggggggggggggh” that came from me watching this. My ex would interrupt my stories, complain the way I TOLD the story, act like my story was hard to understand. So, eventually I didn’t wanna tell him anything anymore

My ex would call me the second I left work and talk about his day the entire time. He would ask how mine was and 30 seconds into me talking he always had to get off the phone suddenly. I got to where when he asked I just said my day was fine. It became pointless to talk or express myself.

I have a narcissistic family, we’re all enmeshed. Sometimes I catch myself telling my younger siblings to get to the point , I get irritated mid conversation or get anxiety near them. When I’m around my family my narcissistic traits raise but when I’m not it’s like I’m a whole different person. I’m a lot more patient, attentive and hobby focused. When I’m with them my nervous system is running tenfold.
