I love how everyone immediately jumps on the wagon of "It's the swift drivers fault!" When none of y'all know what happened. How about we band together as drivers and pray that they are alive. Have compassion for each other. We are all doing the same job, just because we work for different companies doesn't make us different.

Driver schools should be held accountable. They give CDL like a candy. Most drivers who are not really eligible will end up working for Swift - Warner- Prime and make $.30 cent per mile. That is not trucking. Roads are not safe.

As a driver with 14 years of over-the-road experience, I can confidently say that some drivers simply don’t belong behind the wheel of a semi-truck! It’s evident who is at fault, and Swift isn’t! The driver who was sideways was most likely either following too closely and had to slam on the brakes, causing a jackknife, or he was attempting to make a U-turn in the middle of the road. There are numerous possibilities that could have led to this incident. I am sending my prayers and best wishes to the Swift driver and his family. May God be gracious and deliver him back to us. God bless you all on the road! Please keep your phones down and your eyes on the road! We have too many distractions. Also, if you’re a passenger vehicle, please stop cutting us off and getting in between us, stay back and away! It’s dangerous, and we’re a fully loaded semi-truck weighing 80,000 pounds. It takes the length of two football fields to stop us! Please be aware of your actions and stop getting angry at us because we’re moving slowly. Some companies only allow drivers to go 62 mph. So, please be kind and slow down. By doing the right thing, you can save lives.
