This is what Portugal was doing for 90 minutes basicly. The formation was dogshit. The midfielders were playing way too outwide and out of positions. There were literally empty spaces where midfielders should have occupied but they were nowhere to receive the ball.

Fernando Santos did it one time and after the campaign he got sacked🤷, in the last friendly game against Chile, the team won after Ronaldo got subbed off in the 2nd half 🤷, in the last World Cup, Goncalo Ramos scored Hattrick replacing Ronaldo in the starting line up🤷, Ronaldo needs to make way to these new generation without him, maybe not as a starter

I agreed completely, It is not entirely his fault. The players don't seem willing to play with him anymore. However, if Portugal are to stand any chance of winning the World Cup, the coach has three choices to make: A) Keep Ronaldo and change the rest of the team. B) Keep the team and drop Ronaldo. C) Stick with the current setup and hope for a different outcome—which is the very definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results.

yeh let's ignore the fact that Bruno nerves and vitinha didn't create a single clear cut chance for him. why aren't we talking about how bad they were? did anyone actually watch the game? dragged defenders out, movement was good.
