The figure in regal attire is a Guardian Archangel holding a liturgical fan (ripidion) that reads ΑΓΙΟΣ (AGIOS) three times, which means "Holy, Holy, Holy" in Greek (the angelic hymn from the Bible). Next to him is a six-winged angel labeled ΕΞΑΠΤΕΡΥΓΟΝ (Six-winged/Seraphim), while the bottom features fiery wheels labeled ΟΙ ΤΡΟΧΟΙ (The Wheels), which according to the Bible carry the divine chariot and have eyes symbolizing omniscience. What the video mentions as a "scratched-off lion's head" is actually a damaged depiction of a Cherub, a heavenly being that, according to Ezekiel's vision, possesses four faces: of a man, a lion, an ox, and an eagle.

You can see that the semicircular space has a throne. This was the throne of the Metropolitan. It is called the synthrono (the built semicircular seat of the priests with the throne of the Bishop in the center of the arch). Its use waned and was progressively abandoned from the 6th to the 10th century, as the development of Byzantine worship and the architecture of the churches changed. Its abolition in practice is due to the following reasons: A) Elevation of the Temple: In early Christian times, the synthrono was visible to the faithful. When the iconostasis and the temple began to be raised and closed, the space of the synthrono was cut off from the main church, rendering it liturgically useless. B) Change of the Typikon: While initially the Bishop sat on the synthron and the priests (presbyters) surrounded him at the entrance, gradually the position of the despotic throne was transferred from the sanctuary's alcove to the main church (where it is located to this day, to the right of the iconostasis), while the services began to be held more at the Holy Altar and in the Prothesis. Since we see a synthron, it means that this church is at least 1000 to 1400 years old!
