Hey so sleep is actually required and it’s scientifically proven to improve peoples mental state and keep them energized although the sleeping average can depend on The person you see if we don’t get sleep our brains will always keep on working without shutting off while I always does that anyways it can also put you in a very bad mood or just more tired until your body won’t be able to take it anymore and is exhausted sure we could’ve been doing a lot of things during those hours but let’s be real. Do we really need all of those 24 hours to be productive? I don’t think so personally. Sure there’s a lot of things you could do, but it would also just not be healthy for you in general. We need sleep so our buddies can recover from the day and be ready for the next day. Sleep is a vital biological function that allows your brain and body to recharge, repair, and reset. Far from just "downtime," it supports critical processes like memory consolidation, hormone regulation, and immune system strengthening. Without it, you cannot function optimally. During deep sleep, the brain's "housekeeping" process (glymphatic flow) washes away toxic proteins and cellular waste built up during the day.
