feminism is why we have the need for 2 income households to achieve the American dream. . It's not that the dream is dead, the problem is the TWO INCOME HOUSEHOLD [ask yourself what created the 2 income household] changed how much cash is moving in the economy since the 1970s. Single boomers, even a lot of GenX typically never bought homes on their own they did it married with BOTH spouses working. ALSO people today simply are not taught how to manage their lives and money anymore along with expenses unheard of up through even the 90s ie carpayments, airpods, iPhone, and $9 starbucks everyday. . 1970 per IRS Average salary: $9870 Average house: $27000 2024 per IRS Average salary: $52,641 Average house: $428000 1970 if adjusted for inflation to 2024 Average Salary: $80786 Average house: $424801 Average 2 income household 2024 per IRS Household salary $80610 (Also in 1970 people didn't finace cars, phones, or have crazy cc debt) . Things aren't harder people forgot how to budget (and save) AND the economy adjusted to the 2 income household over the past 50 years. At 24 I completely agree with her it’s sad to say that even bringing up saying what I like in a relationship is looked at oppressive and its not just wanting a mutual n deep respect of one another ofc I respect ur autonomy n all u being an individual but understand it’s only me n u in this and anything n everything I ask isnt sum I wouldn’t do myself just wanting tht genuine in depth care for one another but having to water it down to that seems like it’s such a major sin now n days

equal rights = famine and starvation? but not small farms being bought out by big corporations, data centers using all of our fresh water, the rise in food prices in grocery stores, defunding social services and food programs, trade wars with countries, HOAs banning people from growing their own food, an epidemic of swine flu in cattle, and maybe climate change just might be a few reasons why.
