This is so easily fixed. Get a mechanic to do up a list of things wrong with it, things that shouldn’t have passed RWC, tell mechanic who passed it, he is liable to then fix it.

6k is taking the piss lol, even 800 for a few filters and spark plugs is a lot. Lesson learnt my bro, it’s how we learn as we get older 👍

RWC does checks, it doesn’t check if a service has been done for filters etc. However a roadworthy does check tyres, leaking areas of the car etc. I’d report the company that did the road worthy because if there’s leaks (like oil, transmission etc) it shouldn’t have passed

Anytime I look at a car, open bonnet, check literally everything, search crash reports and put VIN n.o in. Ask for a test drive if u hear ticking or rattling do not take the car. Turn the steering all the way to left then to the right and hear if it makes a clicking noise. Hope you get a better car man!! Or if buying a write off do not buy ones where the airbags have deployed or a stat write off. Buy one where it only looks like cosmetic damage and see how much spares/ parts will cost you.

Dahmm my partner and I was in the same situation as you we both moved here 2months ago to start a new life bought us a car for 6k just to find out later on there was so many things needs to be fixed and it cost more than what we bought the car for. 😩
