![🚨DON’T visit Dubrovnik, Croatia UNTIL YOU WATCH THIS! [ ☀️ comment “SUN” for our FREE Croatia guide + itinerary] Dubrovnik, Croatia, nicknamed the “Pearl of the Adriatic” is one of the most unique cities in the WORLD, but it can also be a little confusing to navigate… …SO HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ⬇️ 1. When people talk about visiting “Dubrovnik” they are usually referring to Old Town Dubrovnik inside the medieval city walls 🗺️ 2. Cruise ships + Ferries typically arrive in the PORT OF DUBROVNIK (NOT to be confused with Dubrovnik Old Port) which is located 15 minutes north of Old Town! We took an Uber into Old Town when we arrived at night! 🚢 3. There are TWO MAIN ENTRANCES to Old Town Dubrovnik: The PILE GATE (located on the WEST side of Old Town) + the PLOCE GATE ( located on the EAST side) The smaller Buza gate is located on the north side of Old Town! 🚪 4. If you’re catching a water taxi or boat for a day trip/sunset cruise, you’ll go to DUBROVNIK’S OLD PORT which is located directly outside of the City Walls on the EAST side of the city, near the Ploce gate! 🚤 5. You can climb and stroll the Dubrovnik City Walls for a fee and though this gets mixed recommendations, we did it and absolutely LOVED every minute of it! 🏰 6. Mount Srd is the beautiful mountain located just north of Old Town and you can take the cable cars up, or hike up, for the MOST BEAUTIFUL views of the city! We recommend sunset up here! 🚠 7. We recommend staying just outside of the City Walls, just north near the cable car entrance!
