u1 is a toolchanger meaning you can do different filament types like tpu and petg etc. this can only do multicolor of same filament type

I'm waiting on the Sovol M1D, 5 toolheads, but it's IDEX so you can run 4 with one toolhead dedicated to support filament. I'm also waiting on the Bondtech Index Voron kit to come out,,i need to convert two of my printers.

Single tool head printers are becoming a thing of the past. That's why this is so inexpensive. If my 3D printer doesn't have at least 4 tool heads it's a waste of money.

I have 3 of the CC1’s and have the Canvas units coming for two of them. If you’re doing ‘real’ multi color, the U1 or flashforge creator 5 with multiple tool heads are your better choice over the CC2. You have minuscule waste compared to a single head multi color printer. i also have a P2S and the waste is insane if you are actually doing multiple colors. Drop some of that red into your file and see how much more waste you will have on top of whats already in that box lol.
