This GP is total mess. FIA admitting making mistakes compromised the results of half of the grid. It ruins the principle of the sport itself.

Well, according to the rules, even if the stewards take away the penalty, there is no system to adjust the results if the penalty was served (like in that Carlos case last year). Either way Monaco 26 will always be remembered as a shitshow

They’ve already withdrawn their review lol. People were saying they only submitted the reviews for PR because they are getting heat in their comments on social media and that they didn’t think their review would be accepted.

What's wrong with this? They appealed and now there is a hearing at which they have to present "new evidence", and I don't think Mercedes has anything new to present that the stewards aren't already aware of. So I expect the hearing to end with Mercedes being turned down.

But at the same time do we really want to remove their rights to protest wrongful penalties? It doesn't seem fair either.
George is a case in a million and as a George fan I feel bad that this chain of events happened for him, but at the same time, if a team is absolutely sure that she didn't commit the crime, not serving it and protesting it is absolutely the way to go. That's what they should also have done with Oscar, I don't know why Zak was saying that Oscar's penalty was completely deserved, back up your driver and your data.
No it will not encourage teams and drivers to not serve their penalties since 99% of them are deserved and you can't bring new evidence to the table for the majority of them anyway.

as much as I think they should just invalidate the results of this GP at this point, of those remaining George is the only one who has a case imo because he tried to get the stewards to change his penalty to a time penalty and not serve it during the race, which would have allowed them a clean appeal, and was denied by the stewards, whom Gasly's appeal revealed to be incorrectly informed. Given all that, I do agree that he has a case and should be heard.

I feel like stewards being volunteers is one of the problems here, hire professional specialists and pay them, FIA!

They just should’ve kept the race results as they are like I don’t get it, did they like feel bad for Pierre cause he doesn’t know what speed to drive in the pit lane or something? 🥀

Well it more fair tt all of them got fudged by the rules. Gasly only got third because of everyone else’s penalties

no matter what the drive through should never be removed cause it only came from him not serving the first penalty correctly doesn’t matter if it was just or unjust

instead of deleting the penalties, the only fair thing to do is to cancel the entire race, but that would negatively affect a lot of the drivers

DoneIn60Secs :
My understanding is that the penalties are related to drivers cutting the pit lane entry, triggering a distance over time problem. This was known from the drivers briefing and could have been avoided by driving the longer line. Many drivers did take measures to avoid the penalty, but some didn't. How do we account for the penalty that all the compliant drivers suffered by sticking to the rules?

What baffles me is that in F2? A penalty is a penalty.
