Dude they still tell me it’s not a big deal but I still get picked on and made fun of at work, I cry all the time and I have to deal with the judgement, I feel like everything is overwhelming and tiring and I just want to be alone. Like imagine being 20 and sobbing at a comedy show and everyone is just staring at you like a freak because something triggered you after trying so hard to let the overstimulation pass. It’s just so hard when everyone makes you feel like a walking embarrassment

i dont have it, but some of my friends have it and they go thru ALOT! they tell me how hard it was growing up and making friends, so i get so mad whenever i see people romanticize autism!

I take autism seriously considering my childhood best friend has autism, andni didn't figure it out still abt 2 years ago, I still treat him normally and with some extra patience.

Lowkey had a panic attack while with my friends at an amusement park and needed some alone time. Don’t think some of them realise I actually got problems and sometimes I just gotta be alone for everybody’s safety.

I don't usually get really overstimulated, usually just like a headache If things are too bright, but one time when I went to a hibachi for my dad's birthday I just started sobbing because it was extremely overstimulating and I felt so embarrassed for taking attention away from him on his birthday
