@skardu.diaries: Pakistan never fails to amaze me!!! A hike this close to a town should be packed, but we ended up having the whole trail to ourselves. You start this trek right from Karimabad and immediately head into farmland and village paths, passing locals working the fields and moving animals along the mountainside. The higher you go, the more it opens up and the more huge mountains you can see. Rakaposhi, Diran, Golden Peak, Ultar Sar -four 7000m+ peaks all in one view, just from a walk above town. Queen Victoria Monument is a perfect sunset spot if you want a shorter hike. It sits above Karimabad with full valley views and golden light hitting the peaks in the evening. If you continue past it, the trail climbs steeper towards Ultar Meadows. It's more effort, but the scenery gets more dramatic the higher you go, right under the massive mountains Ultar Sar and Ladyfinger Peak. 🇵🇰 🎥 — DM for credits #pakistan #travelpakistan #adventure #mountains #travelguide
