Literallyyy I applied to uwc specifically to do the ib but quit after a month. It’s way more uwc centred than ib centred (which obviously makes sense, but still wasn’t like I expected) and not many people were heavily focused on schoolwork

i feel like this really depends on the uwc you're in. I'm a residential at uwc maastricht and the school is quite ib foscused. we have day students in primary and secondary so school is less uwc and more ib.

hm i would say that depends on the uwc school- rbc very much cares about your grades and penalizes those who dont do grand by leaving them out of opportunities etc... but if u wanna go to a uwc school- rbc isnt very centered around the uwc movement anyways

no girl... it's a great concept and it should be this way ideally, but some schools are heavily centered around academics, it's their rating and unfortunately lately you can see that the goal of some decisions taken by the administration of certain schools is to improve the ib score and make students more cared about their grades

btw, am I qualified to do like the IELTS exam?? I'm planning to apply to oxford (yes, a hard goal, but I'm studying) and I need the proof that I can totally speak, write and understand English to apply (ofc I'm still reinforcing my English so it's easier)
