Skill is the best way to start so you don't get frustrated with the output since it will be custom to you. Just chat with Claude to create the skills OR you could use the ones available within Claude as well as a beginner.

I just created an automation with cowork Claude. I need to research what people are talking about in multiple platforms around a specific topic in my industry. So I broke it into steps where step 0 is reading what is already on my database in Notion, step 1 researching in said platforms, 3 is curating based on what we already have, 4 is documenting with specific instructions what we need for the new week, 6 marking why this is important for my work asap if nothing is found then flagging what keeps coming up to use it as statistics later in the quarter to justify why my work is becoming more valuable. When the task is done then it outputs a summary 2-3 sentences to state what to prioritize and why. Just started using this to stay relevant in the job market.

If you are already using Claude but in a non structured way I love prompting it to say what are the top 3 opportunities for automation and building the skill from there eg. Post meeting actions (emails, follow up ect) based on transcripts in my tone of voice OR I love voice noting Claude and getting it to log the idea into my notion content calendar
