During the TV3 Ghana Most Beautiful 2026 auditions, a @Dangme contestant representing the Greater Accra Region was asked by the judges to tell the world who the Dangme people are. The Dangme are an ethnic group in Ghana found across the Greater Accra, Eastern, and Volta Regions, and they speak the Dangme language. The Dangme-speaking Traditional Areas are: • Ada • Agɔtsom (Agotime) • Gbugbla (Prampram) • Kpone • Manya Klo (Krobo) • Ningo (Nugo) • Osudoku • Sɛ (Shai) • Yilo Klo (Krobo) Every opportunity to showcase our language, culture, and identity helps raise awareness of the Dangme people. Dangme Contestant: Naa Aku Botchway Dangme Traditional Area: Gbugbla (Prampram) Region: Greater Accra Region Although she did not progress beyond the audition stage, we are incredibly proud of Naa Aku Botchway for confidently representing the Dangme people on a national platform and sharing our identity with Ghana. We wish her every success in her future endeavours. One Dangme People. One Language. Nine Traditional Areas.
