yes they're supposed be sticky and you are right traditionally they are sliced in halves toasted and then buttered

You're right about toasting it and spreading butter on it. What was it about HOT Cross Buns that gave you the clue? 😉 Personally I also like to add jam, strawberry or raspberry go well, but I only buy the original ones so that might not go so well with the novelty flavour that you've chosen. Also sometimes I'll cheat and microwave them, not as good as toasted but quicker and less faff, and still better than room temperature. And yes, they're all supposed to be sticky. 😁

They're nice 👍 Best to get them fresh from a bakery, you'll notice a marked difference, though the bakery ones stale easily and are also hit or miss

You need to get on it next year at Easter and try all the different flavours they have out. M&S tiramisu ones this year were elite. I’m SO gutted that it was only for Easter, they were delicious!!!
