Three days. On the street. Alone. We got the call this morning. There’s a horse in the city who’s been wandering for three days with no food, no water, and no one stopping to help. No owner came forward. No one left a bucket. Just a tired animal standing in the heat, too weak to move far, waiting for something to change. We’re planning to go pick him up today. But here’s the truth I don’t like saying out loud: we’ve failed to pick up two emergency cases this week already. Not because we didn’t want to. Because we don’t have a trailer, and we couldn’t afford transport in time. We’re a small organization. I’m the CEO, and I pay our workers out of my own pocket because there’s no other source. I don’t have a backup fund for emergencies. Every rescue depends on what comes in the day it happens. I know people care. I see the prayers, the blessings, the “keep us updated” messages. And I’m grateful you’re not looking away. But prayers don’t pay for fuel. Blessings don’t cover the vet who has to see him the minute we get him. Updates don’t fill an empty stomach. If we don’t raise enough for transport today, we lose him too. And I’m tired of telling myself “we’ll try again next time” when “next time” might be too late. So I’m asking directly: donate today so we can go get him. Any amount moves the trailer. If we reach the goal, we’ll leave within hours. If we don’t, I’ll post exactly why and what happened, because you deserve that honesty. Let’s not fail him today. Let’s be the reason he doesn’t spend another night on that street. I’ll post updates the moment we’re on the road.link in bio
