Yep. Lifestyle inflation is such an easy trap to fall into, and you’re right, money alone doesn’t buy happiness. But having that financial safety net set up is absolutely critical. Otherwise, you’re one unforeseen expense away from losing your shirt.

years ago I believe it was on an Oprah episode. Someone said, if you can't manage 5 dollars you won't manage $500 and if you can't manage $500 you won't manage $50000. It's one of the greatest/truest things I have ever learned.
