It's one part of it but there's also temperature dysregulation!! for some of us, it is harder to regulate our internal temperature, and we can overheat. so it's not just our way to feel the heat, it's also that our bodies aren't always able to do what's needed to survive the heat.

Summer is a sensory NIGHTMARE for me. The heat, intensive sweating, sunscreen, bright sun blaring into my eyes. Trying to cool off at the beach or pool isn’t any better because of the sand and the fact that I freak out when wet hair touches my body so I can’t fully submerge myself or I’ll be uncomfortable for the rest of the day 😭

Once I start sweating, it takes me a really long time to stop. I’ve come back from the gym sweating, hopped in an ice cold shower, then hopped out still sweating.
