The goal is to help others, it’s for everyone’s benefit because it’s good for your soul and you get to bless someone else and hopefully they will pay it forward and so on. When it comes down to it we are all equal as human beings and we are all struggling in some way and could use help or a kind word or smile it’s so simple.

This conversation seems like it would've gone much smoother if the topic went into having a genuine relationship with God. Having a REAL genuine relationship with God strengthens your moral compass as a RESULT of that relationship, as opposed to working hard to be good to be closer to God. We're saved through grace, not works. But food works come from a strong foundation with God.
