Stay alive was easily a better fit as it was more emotional and matched the emotions of Subaru and Emilia very well, imo it was absolutely perfect. And if you think about it, sty helix doesn’t entirely fit with the lyrics, as Subaru has became his original self and finally gained the courage to save others including himself — and he wants Emilia to stay alive as he jumped in the hole after her, WANTING HER TO STAY ALIVE
