The Supreme Court a few years ago, made it legal for police to do no action to an active shootings. Let that sink in police do not have to rescue anybody during a violence situation if they feel their life is in danger that was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States.

The fact that they pulled a gun at all, on shoplifters, is abhorrent. Its shoplifting, it does not constitute deadly force at all, but by God, they gotta make sure that they get home safe at the end of each shift in one of the safest jobs in the world...
