@inhermos: The entryway is the first part of ourselves people encounter. I wanted mine to feel inherited. As if I came home with my favorite aunt’s furniture and had to make it my own. The deeper you move into the space, the more it shifts into retrofuturism and Afrofuturism. I remember watching videos directed by Hype Williams, artists like Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes, and wanting to live on the set of one of those music videos. My apartment lives somewhere between those two worlds: memory and imagination.
