I think it definitely opens you up to a broader range of universal experiences - both positive and negative. But that’s a risk some people are willing to take, as everything in life comes at a cost. Depends how much personal value you give to privacy. :)

I understand your worry, esp since you have a child but I think you have to try to stop yourself from thinking ahead to “what ifs” if there hasn’t been any problems with this online presence yet. Me personally don’t like to have the spotlight on me because I get to paranoid with what people think of me and have had experiences in the past with ppl creating parasocial relationships with me and I don’t like it. But for you, for now, just explore this side of yourself and see what this account brings you in form of joy and opportunities and if something still feels off or these thought get louder, reevaluate the situation. ❤️

i would never ever want to be famous, i totally get where you’re coming from. i think it’s an incredibly hard burden to bear. just like police officers, judges and politicians have extreme responsibility to bear. aside from that of course the privacy and safety issues. now i do think what privacy means for us is changing globally with all the surveillance tech, both top-down state surveillance and the surveilling we do to each other (liquid surveillance). but that doesn’t mean we’re necessarily safer. idk it’s such a hard decision. you have been doing great things, bringing people together and you’re doing it in such an authentic way. i hope you’ll continue, but i also wanted to say that not many people here will tell you to quit (i believe they care about u, but i also think we’re all biased purely for being on this app). what does your gut say? thank you for sharing your thoughts with us ❤️

not famous yet, but the goals i have come with it & i'm also deeply unsure if i want that. two of my reels went viral on instagram, people irl started recognising me and that was only lowkey stuff. it's difficult. i heard you get used to it
