I just enjoy being a teller there is no stress of sales and target there you only do cash deposits and cash withdrawals

I was a teller for a year, now I’m a consumer loan processor (main office position). I could NEVER be a banker because explaining interest rates, payments, differences between products, gather all the documents needed for the customer to be approved, just spending hours on ONE person is my nightmare lol. At least as a teller you get to go through people quickly 90% of the time lol

Im envious of my bankers' ability to just get up and be away from their desk for a moment, our teller line is so understaffed our branch manager is constantly tellering to help me out, but then I think about all the cold calls they make and all the escalations I sign in to sit with them and how I would now be the person handling the escalations and then my job doesn't seem so bad

at my credit union, us tellers wear all the hats 😩 opening accounts, loans, credit cards, all while doing transactions and answering the phones

I am an MSR, member service rep. I do loans, accounts maintenance, etc and teller duties… it’s becoming more common now!

I got hired doing both as a universal banker and much more preferred the teller line over the office work. Got promoted to head teller and loved it, because no more office work, and then a new branch manager found a way to fire me for basically being better at running the branch than her 🙃 I sued and got my payout

I was the opposite. I was a banker and promoted to the teller side. I absolutely hated being on platform, it was so impersonal and all numbers. I loved really knowing my clients & them knowing me.
