If the inverted triangle shape of the dress had been exaggerated to the extreme it would have been so amazing, more 80s avant-garde. Maybe the designer chickened out to a more mid design?

I think she should've used the 60s prom dress. Slash neckline, cut it short and put layers of frilly fabric under the skirt in a brighter pink, like a petticoat. White tights and sprayed pink boots (spraying them would've looked good in the montage). Also pink bow earrings with a drop pearl. I might digitally draw it😆 I've never liked her prom dress but also never thought of how I'd change it! Great vid💕

I think also it feels at odds with how layered her looks are generally. I feel like you could keep the dress and add the big punky belt that Cyndi lauper and chunky boots. I’d also make her make up a lot bolder and add more rings and maybe even some hair accessories like bold clips. It feels totally unbalanced otherwise

I like that she didn’t do poufy. It was very different than what all girls were wearing to prom. I think leaning a bit into a minimalist look would’ve been cool. But the costume designer obviously didn’t have a crystal ball to see what the 90s would bring.
