The man's voice was rushed, breathless. He kept glancing over his shoulder as if someone was chasing him. He wore a cap pulled low over his eyes, a mask covering half his face, and a thick jacket despite the warm weather. You frowned. Was someone after him? Then his eyes met yours. And you froze. Those eyes. There was no way. Your hand flew to your mouth. "Holy shit..." His eyes widened. "You're Jay, right?" For a second, he looked genuinely surprised that you recognized him despite his disguise. "Uh... yeah." You looked behind him and saw a group of girls running around the corner. Without thinking, you grabbed his wrist and pulled him into a nearby alley. The girls ran past without noticing. You let out a relieved sigh. "Yeah, and you thought going out alone in a foreign country without bodyguards was a good idea?" Jay looked away sheepishly. "Actually, I snuck out." You groaned. "What is wrong with you?" He laughed awkwardly. "Do you at least have your phone so your manager can pick you up?" His smile faltered. "I left that too." You smacked your forehead with your palm. Unbelievable. You glanced at him . Despite the disguise, he still looked nervous. Careful. Tired. "Would you like to come with me? My apartment isn't far. You can wait there while we contact your manager." Your apartment wasn't much, but it was clean and cozy. As soon as he sat down on your couch, you handed him a can of Dr Pepper. His eyes lit up. "You remembered." You blinked. Then remembered all the times he'd mentioned loving it during interviews. "I'm a fan," you admitted shyly. He laughed. "I'm sorry for bothering you like this, Miss..." He held out his hand. "Y/N." You shook it. "Damn. Soft hands," you blurted out. Your eyes widened. His did too. Then he burst into laughter. You covered your face in embarrassment. "Sorry. I'm still kind of starstruck. You have no idea how loudly I'm screaming inside. You're my idol, after all." His smile softened. "That's cute." While waiting for his manager, you talked. And talked. Surprisingly, it wasn't awkward at all. You told him about your work. He told you funny stories from tour. When you mentioned you couldn't get concert tickets, his brows furrowed. "You didn't get any?" You shook your head. "They sold out too fast." "I'm sorry." you smiled. "It's okay. I'm still happy you're here." A while later, Jay excused himself to use the restroom. When he returned, he stopped in front of the spare room. Several guitars rested against the wall, along with a keyboard and other instruments. His eyes widened. "These are yours?" You nodded shyly. "I like collecting instruments." He walked inside carefully. "You play all of these?" "Not perfectly." His fingers brushed over one of your guitars. "Can you play for me sometime?" your heart skipped. sometime? "Sure." A knock interrupted the moment. His manager had arrived. The older man bowed repeatedly. "I'm so sorry for the trouble." "It's okay," you assured him. Jay stood up. Before leaving, he looked at you. "Thank you for helping me today." Then he smiled. "And please keep this a secret." You zipped your lips dramatically. "My mouth is sealed." After they left, you sat on your couch in silence for three seconds. Then you buried your face in a pillow and screamed. Park Jongseong had been in your apartment. Park Jongseong drank Dr Pepper in your apartment. Park Jongseong touched your guitar. You were going insane. The next morning, you found an envelope outside your door. Inside were three VIP tickets.
