Hands down recommend an in home for teachers! I found a sitter who only watches teachers kids. My daughter LOVES it and they don’t charge me for any and all our days off as teachers

Pro tip from someone who’s worked in childcare for years. Lots of states have a way for you to look up their state inspections online. And they often have other useful information! Happy to help you find your states site if you need :)

I’m home 100%. A center you never know who’s going to be watching your kid with a circulation of staff constantly!

A hundred bucks for the waitlist is nothing. A friend of mine was quoted $6k to hold a spot for her unborn baby. There are more kids than slots available and it seems to be an issue everywhere.

Don’t feel guilty needing help when you are trying to take care of your self!! A TV baby sitter for a little isn’t the worst thing. You deserve to take a second to wake up to! ❤️

I really recommend looking into a nanny service! It’s one-on-one and kids are already in their comfortable space because they’re home! I’m not sure where you’re located but Lifetime of Love Nannies is great

If you can start her before the school year so she only goes like half days for a week, I’d try that. Also, the first week or so is such an adjustment, especially with older babies & toddlers. Hopefully you find a wonderful daycare!

As a former daycare teacher and now nanny, my recommendation is in home or a nanny (if in your budget)!! Good luck!!

I have ran an in home daycare for 7 years. the fee to join their waitlist is ridiculous. also, you can look up their state inspection reports, that is pretty telling. obviously im in Montana, but i feel this information could be helpful.

Being tired but having to be fully functioning with a decent amount of focus 😵💫 my son was waking up at 6 on the dot (normally 8) I was stumbling into his room and hadn’t been awake for less than a minute
