i think if Geto had told Gojo to kill all those people when retrieving Riko's body they wouldve defected together... but i think Geto wouldve felt like he too had started using his friend as a weapon...

Gooood morning everyone, after a good night's rest I am here to tell you about the intentions of my videos once again! Let's celebrate. I’m not sure how to start this but basically what im trying to get at is how despite experiencing the same tragedy (riko’s death), Geto believes that only he has come to realise the cruelty behind humanity. The lyrics are pretty straight forward, if Gojo were to maintain the same mindset he had upon finding riko’s body, he would've ultimately done the same as Geto. But because he had understood that jujustu sorcerers lived to protect non sorcerers and not all were like the cult, the quote at the beginning is a way for Geto to put forward a ‘what if’. The song with its overall context doesn’t really touch upon this idea but really fits well with Geto’s character. For those unaware, ‘Hold on Till May’ is a song made by Pierce the Veil as a way to advocate for mental health, telling its listeners to literally hold on till may and once may has past, hold on till the next may. Though it wasn’t explicitly stated that Geto was s*icidal, it's really intune with his own struggles with depression. The last line “and i was rather…” in my mind goes both ways, the way the song intended (d*e) and for a more context based way (stop at nothing to achieve my ideal even if it means killing my family and abandoning my friends). This also ties in really well with another of Geto’s quotes where as he dies, he states that “i just couldn’t wear a heartfelt smile, living in this world” drawing more connections with him and this song.
