I got another bit to add. Black beard had no beard when he was younger. When he got the dark dark fruit, he had a beard. When he got both devil fruits, he was later shown with two beard tails. Now in current one piece, he has three. I’m guessing he already has the third devil fruit, but it hasn’t been revealed

I have a theory that Blackbeard was seeking that exact devil fruit because it helped him suppress the other two souls and he can call on each soul for a devil fruit to be attached to but when he doesnt need it, he can suppress that soul into the black void and when he does need it, he suppresses his own sould into the black void to call upon one of the others but keeps his soul active just enough so that none of the other sould can take over his body and lose the ability to use his OG devil fruit.
