@993tsxoz: Removing your own IUD? I did it out of necessity because of high costs and insurance issues in the US. 😳 But please don’t try this at home! Always consult a healthcare professional for such procedures. Let's discuss access to healthcare! #iudremoval #birthcontrol #pharmacy #millennialrx #fyp #healthcareaccess
I’ve worked in OBGYN for 18 years. Sending your IUD to the lab is not a thing.

women's health is a JOKE, you have have to fight for EVERYTHING. I had an obgyn tell me I needed my husband's permission for my tubal (husband is deceased), I asked him I didn't know I could talk to dead people but he said it's fine 🤦♀️🤷♀️, then I got a new OB

my dr told me I needed my husband's permission to have mine taken out, I wasn't married and my IUD caused more problems more cramping and bleeding. so I took it out myself. the cramping stopped and my period was shorter.

I learned from my step sister that it's nearly impossible to get your tubes tied if you're on government assistance. They require you to have 3 babies, be 27, and a bunch of other road blocks. I think bureaucracy is ruining women's healthcare.

I mean, they just yank it out anyways. what's the difference if I do it myself? I can medicate myself better at home than they will ever offer me

It was going to be 250 to have mine taken so I just pulled it out with tweezers! Then I had a new one inserted for free because insurance will pay for it to be inserted but not taken out! 🙄

I argued with my dr for more than an hour. She didn’t think I should remove it. I was convinced it was the cause of repeated uti and yeast infections and I could feel it stabbing me. She literally grabbed it with tongs and ripped it out while being mad at me. I bleed and cramped all the way home and all infections cleared and never came back. Doctors are horrible people.

People wouldn't have to make horrible decisions like this if hospitals and doc visits wouldnt try to drain your bank account.
