some filters are mounted upside down, you literally can't prefill it without doing a magic trick. So if prefilling was so important, why are manufacturers mounting them like that.

pre-filling a filter can introduce contaminants past the filter media, a good mechanic knows to not pre-fill a filter.

Awesome, now you've saturated the filter so the oil can get some good aeration in it. Do this with enclosed filters. Not these ones.

You don’t need to do this. When you put the filter in, you’re gonna likely put it at the bottom and when you fill the oil guess where the oil goes……………. INTO THE FILTER HOUSING
