I genuinely believe they aren’t talking about it because they benefit zero from it. I could be wrong, but I believe ESPN shows almost zero soccer outside the small college networks. Them hyping this takes eyeballs from ESPN to Fox. I could be wrong, but I don’t think want Fox getting free advertising from them.

I have the ESPN app and I went into the app's settings so that it would send me the score banner on my home screen for every game so I can peek at my phone while I'm at work...somehow it keeps missing some games throughout the whole tournament...like c'mon man 🙄

ESPN doesn’t cover sports they’re not directly tied to. Always been that way. When hockey was off they didn’t talk nhl till it came back. Is what it is.
