Let’s talk about second opinions. 👀📋 I was told there was no damp. Not once. Not twice. Multiple times. Email after email, I was told there was no issue. The problem was, I didn’t agree. So I instructed my own independent contractor to inspect the property and prepare a report. I submitted the findings. I escalated. I complained. And eventually, the same issues that were initially denied were later acknowledged and acted upon. The lesson? Never confuse an answer with the final answer. Sometimes the difference between a “no” and a resolution is evidence. I’m curious… How many social housing tenants accept the first answer they’re given because they don’t realise they can challenge it?
