Real bread molds within 3 to 5 days. Grocery store bought bread is mainly chemicals and will not mold.

That would be great if bread texture wasn’t like a sponge lately. I don’t buy bread anymore because it lasts too long without a bread box and you can’t crush it because it rises back to its original shape. Bread doesn’t taste like bread these days.

It doesn’t matter what you store your bread in now days because the bread doesn’t mold or get hard anymore! I had a half loaf of bread that I kept from April to December last year the only reason I threw it out was because it started to harden! I was curious how long it would take to mold and it never did!!
