People be like time is some impossible mystery. It isn't that deep in everyday terms. Time is a scale we've imposed to measure regular increments of change so we can coordinate society. Seconds, minutes and hours aren't things that exist on their own, they're agreed units, like metres or kilograms. If we stopped measuring time, change would still happen. We'd just describe it in relation to other events instead of clocks. Timekeeping is our way of putting a consistent scale on an already changing universe.

I believe we're looking at this from the wrong angle. That's why we fail to fully comprehend the concept every time we try. Instead of measuring the passing of time through things, perhaps we should be measuring our own passage through it. What if time is stationary, and what we're actually experiencing is ourselves moving through it? Yet, in order for us to make sense of this experience, we've been taught to perceive it as time itself passing.

Time is a variable, a law that is operating. When our observational perspective is stretched to infinity or collapsed to infinity, time will disappear. In other words, there is no concept of time outside the ultimate "law" itself, as well as the barrenness beyond the reach of the law.
