SAME!!!! I’ve been 5’8” since I was 15, and I’ve always been really muscular so I’ve weighed over 150 pounds pretty much since I was 15 as well. I always grew up thinking I was huge because of what society was telling me. Now, as a 32 year old, looking back at my old pictures, I was so tiny!! I don’t want my daughter to grow up feeling that same way about her body.

My 76 MIL just got on a glp1. She’s barely overweight and has had an ED since she was a young teen. I can’t believe a Dr would give her that without knowing her history, she barely eats anything as it is. It’s sad.

Health is not only in reduced calories (if in excess) it’s about the quality of the food, the micronutrients in food is what our bodies need to be healthy, not a reduced calorie intake only. The media needs to focus on what true health actually is. But it’s not about health. Their focus is on thinness and that’s very concerning.

I so appreciate this, especially for all the tall girls trying to shrink their weight to minimize their height, it makes me so sad. We are so strong!
