When i was a lad the fitters did that on control panels with 30 plus buttons on the doors , fitted the isolator and when they stood the panel up the door dropped and was out of alignment.every time , i said why don’t you do what I do. Stand the panel up Put some chewing gum on the bar ,roll it into a point, dab a spot of paint on the gum close the door and you have the centre, bang on. I was thought well of after that 👍

nice tool! Always drill the holes for shaft-mounted switches when the enclosure is upright, because they will always sag slightly.

Yo tengo una técnica q nunca falla. Pinto con indeleble la punta de la barra, al cerrar la puerta marca exactamente el centro del agujero q tengo q hacer para la maneta del interruptor. No falla nunca
