I don’t have kids, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I have never like the idea of tablets basically ruling kids’ lives.. when/if I have a child, I refuse to give them any type of phone or iPad until they’re in their teens

No screens 2 hours before bed. They’ll be tired and go to bed. Screens keep them awake and hinder sleep patterns.
