When my coworkers tell me their kids refused to go to bed I am confused. My mom didn’t ask for my opinion when I was a kid. I was in my bed at 8pm staring at the ceiling until I fell asleep

when i was little and i didn't want to sleep at bed time my mum was "fine, don't sleep, but you will be in your room and in your bed" so i was in bed, playing with plushies or whatever until i fell asleep 🤷🏻

I feel like this is what it was like in the 90’s! Not every day was a kid day - you just went along with what your mum needed to do to run the family. Errands etc and entertain yourselves
