@momwithmaci: How long did you take off/get for maternity leave after you had your twins?! Do we think 12 weeks is enough?! #twinpregnancy ##pregnancyjourney##maternityleave##workingmom##momlife
I’m not going back.. I went back one day a week after my last.

I told my employer 12 weeks, but daycare was going to be crazy, my commute was an hour one way, and I have three older children. It was best for me to stay home.

I think it's really going to depend on what kind of support you have and how that allows you to recover. If you're doing a lot of it on your own, take as much time as you really can. The sleep deprivation is hard, but you can do it.

Ok we are the same! I worked 3 days a wwwk and then I took 6 weeks with my first. But with the twins it was chaos lol I ended up taking 10 months off and only went back on weekends when my husband was home. Even that seemed like a lot tbh but I was nursing so I think that’s why?! I think if they were bottle fed it would be easier but mine never took a bottle. I was also giant so I ended work at 28 weeks and had them at 38 weeks. I was sooo big and standing was so hard and I had contractions so they told me to stop haha it was a wild ride. Congrats!!!!!! It’s truly so fun!!!!!!

Had my twins last July, I took 12 weeks and it did not feel like enough time personally take the full 12, it’s going to go by so fast. I exclusively pumped and have a 6yo. I did go back to work, the maternity parental leave changed this year so i qualify for another leave before they turn one. I decided to take it 12 weeks before they turn 1.

I got four months and it was long enough for us to get in a good routine and they were really strong breastfeeding. thankfully I work from home so I still see my bous through the day. I've been back at work a couple months and it was hard at first but nice to be back working.
