I kind of disagree, though I respect both sides. I think recognizing women and the challenges they’ve faced is important, and I have no problem with Women’s Day. But at the same time, if we’re going to have a day dedicated to appreciating and acknowledging women, I think it’s reasonable to have something similar for men as well. Not because one is more important than the other, but because both deserve recognition in their own ways. Personally, I don’t think it needs to be a whole month or anything like that. A single day would be enough. In fact, I think having just a day makes it feel more meaningful and special rather than stretching it out too much. The goal shouldn’t be competition or trying to take attention away from anyone, but simply maintaining balance and showing appreciation for everyone. Men and women both have their own struggles, expectations, and contributions to society. Recognizing one doesn’t mean ignoring the other. I think it’s possible to celebrate women while also having a moment dedicated to men, without turning it into a debate over who has it harder or who deserves more attention. In the end, I think mutual respect and appreciation are more important than trying to put one above the other.
