Went to Uni in Texas and lived there for 5 years before moving to UK. I know NHS has it’s flaws but you have to experience American healthcare system to fully appreciate NHS👍👍

I had two surgeries in the UK privately via my company medical insurance. And because they were both in the same year, and related to the same illness the total copay was £100.

Seeing this just reminds me how incredibly lucky we are to have the NHS, even with all its struggles. I grew up in the USA before moving back to the UK, and having the NHS was one of the biggest reasons we returned. It isn’t perfect, and it deserves so much more support, but I hope we never lose sight of just how special it really is
