A lot of countries are offering stem cell therapy for Autism and its helping with symptoms like self harming. This should be available in the UK so parents dont have to take a risk abroad

a pupil in my class has had this ....is MADE no difference at all. in my opinion its abuse! the child is vulnerable and cannot consent!

UK doctors won’t recommend it because if there’s no clear evidence for it, NHS won’t fund it (which makes sense cus why would they waste tax payer money on treatment that we don’t know actually works). Just cus other countries do it doesn’t mean they’re better than NHS. Because at the end of the day it’s PRIVATE treatment that you’re PAYING for. Same way how you can do in the UK???

IMAGINE THEY OFFERED YOU A TRIAL AND IT HAD NOT BEEN PROVEN YET... THEN YOUR KID DIES OR HAS ADVERSE AFFECTS YOU WOULD KICK OFF AND SUE ! So, that's why it is not being offered, it has NOT passed the criteria yet to be offered

autism is very broad spectrum. No professional ive ever spoken to has discouraged treatments, theyve advised to research correctly and how it would meet and help my childs specifc experience with autism. What works well for one may not work well for another. Hence why we do not have 'treatments' for autism here in the UK it is too hard to implement on a 'free' healthcare system , for people who need case by case support.

No money in helping the boy be more self aware so the doctors would obv go against any treatment that doesn’t involve a pharmaceutical business that makes money off keeping people needing more meds 😑
