Make sure to pivot when they try to direct you into negative feedback, example is if they ask you what was wrong with your last job Do Not start tearing down your old boss or company procedures, simply say ‘every company has flaws but that’s not the reason I’m leaving for this, I just needed a better opportunity to make more money and do things I think I will enjoy more, I have a family now blah blah blah’ just keep everything positive

I signed up last week!!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼 praying soooo hard they accept me!! I cannot thank you enough for this info. bartender & realtor. but also went to trade school for industrial maintenance and Wind/solar power. SERIOUSLY APPRECIATE YOU!!!!!!! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ so real quick apparently my uncle said that the IBEW has an age cut off is that true. He told me I was too old to start 😭 and they will not accept me.

I passed my test with flying colors then went into my 5 panel interview and did amazing but 1 interviewer messed up my whole overall score because I didn’t have prior electrical work experience in a career setting. That union hall only took 8 people per year I was 3rd in line until that interview then I was dropped and told I’d have to go through the process again because of that one interviewer.

Passed and interviewed, unfortunately received the “but you’re a woman?!” type of questions. As much as ibew says they encourage woman to apply.. they really don’t.

I just got my apprentice electrical licenses (2 states) at 34 thru a skill center. Nice to hear this 😁 I'm going to schedule for the IBEW interview for next month. Best part is it got me an OSHA 10 card
