As a therapist that specializes in maternal mental health - you are not alone. You are naming things we need to talk about more to know there is support for postpartum mood disorders. They are real and there is support. Those with mood disorders before pregnancy are also more susceptible to struggle with a mood disorder. Postpartum.net is filled with how to connect with therapists, psychoed, and support groups. 💛

I’m 4 months postpartum and I’m taking Lexapro do talk therapy and I’m running at night when baby is sleeping so clear my mind I’m doing my absolute fucking best! My mom also had a stroke last year and I’m full time care taker and work from home mom..some days are really really hard because I want to feel consistently good but some days I’m beat and then the mom guilt kicks in and my husband is great husband it’s just my brain that has so much going on even with all the help I’m giving it lol I’m with you! Stay strong !

This is my third postpartum journey and every journey was different but my first one was the hardest. But after about 8 months you start feeling lighter at about 18 months you look back and laugh like wow I was crazyyyyyy 🤪 🤣
