@ambertate2019: I am desperate for HELP! My daughter has been sick since 02/2026. She has this cough that WILL NOT go away! It produces tons of mucus to where she gets like this and will throw up and choking. Her past 3 X-rays since March show “small/lower airways disease.” Bloodwork in April indicated her CRP & sed rate was really high. She was admitted and treated with IV antibiotics and fluid. Respiratory panel indicated “Parainfluenza 3” Followed up with primary care after discharge and they gave her 3 more shots of Rocephin. Ruled a “bacterial infection of unknown source” Cough and sickness never truly went away. Sed rate and CRP went back to normal and now CRP is slowly climbing back up. Sed rate has remained stable. CBC indicated low RBCs, low hemoglobin, and hematocrit is at low normal. Vitamin D is normal Iron is low but the UIBC is normal. Urine has constant ketones but urine glucose is negative. She had an eye infection and ear infection 2 weeks ago. Think eye infection was caused by ear infection. Was on antibiotics for 7 days. We follow up with primary care again today due to cough worsening over the last 2 days. She has not had one single day since February that she hasn’t had a cough!! Has anyone experienced this?
