I’m prescribed trazodone 100 mg to help with sleep, but honestly it doesn’t help much. If I don’t take it I won’t sleep at all, when I take it I still lay awake for hours before finally drifting off. I’m in the US, so you know if this is available here?

I’ve been on daridorexant for over 8 months, I was prescribed it by my psychiatrist (a lot of doctors and pharmacists don’t seem to have heard of it). It isn’t like a z drug where you actually feel sleepiness coming over you, it takes quite a while to start working (a few weeks for me), and I do sometimes still have sleepless nights or struggle to sleep on it. But it has helped me get my sleep to more of a manageable place; I have a lot less bad nights and I notice a big difference if I go without it for a few days. More people should know about this medication, it’s great to have an alternative to z drugs or benzodiazepines where I don’t have to worry about dependence/addiction the same way.

Unfortunately absolutely no effect on my daughter who has had very poor sleep since very young. Also caused low mood which is one of the listed side effects. It was worth a try though.

I’m on this, it works for a couple of days then tolerance build up on day 5. So I need to have a break, and take trazadone on those days

I'm on it but it certainly doesn't help me stay asleep but I get back off much quicker. Way better than Zopiclone that did nothing for me.

I've been given this but to scared to take it, as reading the side effects and it saying it will make me sleepy during the day, and could effect driving etc, im extremely tired as it is through the day
